Activities

In addition to our Sunday worship service, we have a variety of other activities that we invite both members and guests to take part in.  There is truly something for everyone at First Presbyterian of Gulf Shores.

• Choir - Every Sunday our inspiring choir sings praises to God. We are always interested in having new voices in our choir. No audition is required. Practice is every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

• Christian Education and Spiritual Formation -

  • Sunday 9:45 a.m.  we have Sunday School for all ages, including a variety of adult classes.
  • Thursday 10:00 a.m. we have Bible Study - an in depth study led by Pastor Steven who taught Bible for over a decade in Croatia, including insights into the text from history and literary studies, with a focus on the meaning for us, today. 

• Lunch Bunch - Sample some of the best restaurants in town with our lunch bunch every 3rd Friday of the month. Good food and good friends is what this bunch is all about.

• Men's Breakfast - The men of the church meet the 1st Saturday of every month at 8:00 a.m.  In addition to the always great breakfast at the Men's Breakfast, there is always a fabulous speaker as well.  Topics vary, but are always very interesting and informative.

• Potluck Dinners - Always sinfully good, our potlucks always prove to be satisfying for the body and soul.  Come join us every 3rd Sunday of the month.   

• Presbyterian Women - The Presbyterian Women meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 9:30 a.m.   This group supports the mission of our church worldwide and works to build a caring community of women that witness for God's kingdom.   

• Youth Programs - The Youth Group meets every Sunday at  6:30 p.m.  Whether on a canoe trip, doing community service work or just hanging out; when the youth of our church gets together, it's always a good time.
